protein sequences with predicted protein sequences from various
organisms.

best_hits/

This directory contains the results of NCBI BLASTP analysis using each
S. cerevisiae protein sequence to query predicted protein sequences
from several model organisms. See the README file in this directory
for more information. This file is updated regularly.

emotif/

This directory contains motif data for S. cerevisiae genes.  The motif
data is determined by comparing all yeast protein sequences against
motifs listed in the eMOTIFS database, using the eMOTIF-SEARCH regular
expression matching program. See the README file in this directory for
more information. This file is updated regularly.

pdb_homologs/

This directory contains the results of Smith-Waterman analysis
performed by comparing yeast protein sequences against protein
sequences in the Protein Databank (PDB). See the README file in this
directory for more information. This file is updated regularly.

psi_blast/

This directory contains results of a PSI-BLAST query that uses the
protein sequence of every ORF in S. cerevisiae to query NCBI's
non-redundant(nr) protein dataset. See the README file in this
directory for more information. This file is updated regularly.

yeast_worm_datasets/

This directory contains the entire protein datasets of a comparison
between S. cerevisiae and C. elegans. This comparison was performed in
1998 and is not updated.

This directory contains the results of an all by all comparison of
S. cerevisiae ORF protein sequences.  This comparison was done on
April 2, 1999 and is not updated.
